The A.R.E. Motorcycle Collection

Located on the TT course in Kirk Michael, the A.R.E. museum, lovingly curated by Tony & Pat East, is home to over 100 motorbikes.

The collection is largely focused on machines from the 1930s, all of which are kept in immaculate running condition, and features rare and valuable machines from manufacturers whose names will bring any serious bike fan into raptures - Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Vincent and BSA among many others.

The collection is housed in purpose-built sheds in the beautiful grounds of the Old Vicarage, which is believed to have been built in the late 1700s and where the Easts occasionally play host to motorcycle events. The sleepy village of Kirk Michael is, of course, intimately connected with Motorcycle races - as any real fan knows - and whilst there, it's certainly worth paying a visit to the nearby Dovecote Tearooms.

There's a great review of the A.R.E. collection from John's Motorcycle News here. The photo we're using is also courtesy of them, for which we're very grateful. www.johnsmotorcyclenews.co.uk
